Your basic Google profile information (e.g., name, email address) when you sign in with Google
Information you provide when creating and managing your job applications, resumes, and cover letters
Gmail integration (optional): If you enable Gmail integration, we receive notifications of new messages and, via the Gmail API (read-only access), process and tag incoming emails to classify them as job-related (e.g., interview invites, offers, rejections, application confirmations). Tagged emails are surfaced in a dedicated job inbox within the platform and used to automatically update the status of your tracked job applications. We do not modify, send, or delete any emails.

We use your information to:
Provide and maintain our job application tracking service
Generate AI-powered resumes and cover letters based on your input
Analyze job postings and provide personalized recommendations
When you enable Gmail integration, we process and tag incoming emails to classify them as job-related, surface them in a dedicated job inbox within the platform, and automatically update your tracked job application statuses (e.g., interview, offer, rejection). This processing is strictly limited to these features. We do not modify your emails or use your email data for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purposes.

3. How We Store and Protect Data
All access tokens and user data are stored securely using industry-standard encryption.
We use HTTPS and OAuth 2.0 to safeguard data in transit and at rest.
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with regular backups.
We implement strict access controls to ensure only authorized personnel can access user data.
Scout Correct is committed to protecting your data. We never use your information for marketing, resale, or advertising purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to provide our features:
Google OAuth: For secure authentication when you sign in with Google
Google Gmail API: If you enable the optional Gmail integration, we use the Gmail API with read-only access to process and tag incoming emails as job-related, power a job inbox within the platform, and sync application statuses. We do not send, modify, delete, or organize your emails. We use Google Cloud Pub/Sub for push notifications. Use of the Gmail API is subject to Google API Terms of Service .
Microsoft Azure & OpenAI: For AI-powered resume and cover letter generation, and secure cloud storage of your documents and data
Your use of our app is subject to Google's Privacy Policy when using Google authentication or the Gmail integration.
5. User Control and Data Deletion
You have full control over your data:
You can delete your job applications, resumes, and cover letters at any time through the app
You can disable the Gmail integration at any time in Settings, or revoke our access to Gmail and other Google services by visiting Google Account Permissions . Doing so will stop any further processing of your Gmail data for application status updates.
You can request complete account deletion at any time
To permanently delete your account and all associated data, use the Delete Account option in your account settings. For further assistance, contact us at Support@scoutcorrect.com .
